Kane Evans: Former Hull FC prop comes out as gay in emotional interview and says 'I feel like a weight has lifted'

Former Hull FC and NRL prop Kane Evans, 34, has publicly come out as gay in an emotional interview, describing a 20-year internal battle with his sexuality. Evans becomes only the second former or current NRL player to come out as gay, following Ian Roberts who did so more than 30 years ago. The front-row forward played over 150 NRL games for the Sydney Roosters, Parramatta Eels, and New Zealand Warriors before joining Hull FC.
