Kane to return to Blackhawks with 2-year, $16 million contract

Patrick Kane, 37, has signed a two-year, $16 million contract ($8 million AAV) with a full no-move clause to return to the Chicago Blackhawks, the team where he spent his first 16 NHL seasons and won three Stanley Cups (2010, 2013, 2015). Last season with the Detroit Red Wings, Kane recorded 57 points (16 goals, 41 assists) in 67 games. The NHL's all-time leading U.S.-born scorer holds 1,400 career points across 1,369 regular-season games, surpassing Mike Modano's record for points by a U.S.-born player on January 29.
