Karlsson leaves Game 5 in 2nd period for Golden Knights

Vegas Golden Knights forward William Karlsson left Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final against the Carolina Hurricanes on Thursday after being hit along the glass by defenseman Sean Walker at 8:26 of the second period, sustaining a suspected left arm/wrist injury. Karlsson, 33, did not return for the third period and was reported to have left the arena entirely. His absence proved costly, as Carolina's Andrei Svechnikov scored on a power play shortly after to give the Hurricanes a 2-1 lead at 11:58 of the second period.
