Kasia Niewiadoma-Phinney (Canyon-SRAM) attacked 9.2km from the summit of Mont Ventoux during Stage of the Tour de France Femmes, launching from third place overall — 1 minute 17 seconds behind race leader Marlen Reusser and 1 minute 5 seconds behind Demi Vollering. Reusser and Vollering failed to respond effectively, becoming locked in a tactical standoff similar to the 2025 Giro d'Italia situation between del Toro and Carapaz, allowing Niewiadoma-Phinney to ride clear.
