Leonard averaged 28.5 points, 9.8 rebounds, and 4.2 assists for the series, earning the Bill Russell Finals MVP Award for the second time in his career. He joins Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and LeBron James as the only players to win Finals MVP with two different franchises, having previously won with the San Antonio Spurs in 2014.
