Keely Hodgkinson hints at assault on 42-year-old 800m world record in London

British Olympic 800m champion Keely Hodgkinson has hinted she may attempt to break Jarmila Kratochvilova's 42-year-old 800m world record of 1:53.28 at the London Diamond League meeting in July. Hodgkinson expressed a desire to achieve the feat on home soil but said she would decide closer to the time whether to make a formal attempt. Kratochvilova's record, set by the Czech athlete, is the oldest track and field world record still standing.
