Keely Hodgkinson's quest for speed continues at the UK Athletics Championships

Keely Hodgkinson, the 800m Olympic champion, will compete in the 400m at the UK Athletics Championships as part of a strategic plan to improve her first lap speed. She opened her outdoor season in the 400m at the Rome Diamond League, clocking a personal best of 51.41 seconds, with a target of breaking the 50-second barrier. The shorter distance work appears to be paying dividends, as she also set a new British record of 1:54.33 over 800m shortly after her first outdoor 400m race.
