Kevin Magnussen Calls NASCAR Debut a ‘Memory for Life’
Former Formula 1 driver Kevin Magnussen made his NASCAR Cup Series debut driving Trackhouse Racing's PROJECT91 entry in the inaugural Anduril 250 on Naval Base Coronado, describing the experience as a 'memory for life.' Magnussen, who spent 10-11 years in F1 and currently races for BMW in the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA SportsCar Championship, noted the significant differences between NASCAR and his usual racing disciplines. His father Jan Magnussen also previously competed in NASCAR, making his Cup Series debut at the 2010 Sonoma race where he finished 12th.
