Kieran McKenna steps down as Ipswich manager ‘with great pride’ to take break

Kieran McKenna, 40, has resigned as Ipswich Town manager after four and a half years in charge, despite the club securing a return to the Premier League next season. McKenna cited a desire to recharge and spend more time with his family, and does not have another position lined up. Ipswich chairman Mark Ashton described himself as 'gutted' by the decision, while McKenna said he was leaving 'with great pride.'
