Kimi Antonelli becomes youngest F1 champion with third place in Mexican GP

Kimi Antonelli, 20, became the youngest Formula One world champion in history by finishing third at the Mexican Grand Prix, clinching the title with four races remaining. The Italian is the first of his nationality to win the F1 drivers' championship since Alberto Ascari in 1953, and delivers Mercedes their first drivers' title since Lewis Hamilton's 2020 triumph — the team's 10th overall. Max Verstappen won the race itself, with Hamilton finishing second.
