Kimi Antonelli storms to US F1 GP victory but is made to wait for title glory

Kimi Antonelli won the US Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas in dominant fashion, taking pole position and converting it to his ninth victory of the season, finishing ahead of Charles Leclerc in second and Max Verstappen in third. However, the 20-year-old was unable to clinch the Formula One World Championship title in Austin, as teammate George Russell finished eighth and Ferrari's Lewis Hamilton came fourth, keeping the title fight technically alive. Antonelli is now firmly positioned to seal his first world championship at the following round in Mexico City, where he would become the youngest F1 champion in history.
