Kimi Antonelli’s Monza win shows his potential still rises: ‘He was going to walk over water’
Kimi Antonelli, who turned 20 just 14 days before the race, won the Italian Grand Prix at Monza for Mercedes after starting 19th on the grid. The victory added to his remarkable record-breaking season, in which he has become F1's youngest pole-sitter, youngest championship leader, and second-youngest race winner. Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, who had previously urged caution about overhyping the young driver, said after the race that he knew Antonelli 'was going to walk over water' at Monza.
