Klay Thompson signs with Heat after Mavericks buyout

Five-time NBA All-Star and four-time champion Klay Thompson has signed with the Miami Heat after receiving a contract buyout from the Dallas Mavericks. The 36-year-old sharpshooter, who averaged 11.7 points and 2.1 rebounds with Dallas last season and ranks 4th all-time in three-pointers made, is expected to provide floor spacing alongside Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo. Thompson previously won four NBA titles with the Golden State Warriors alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green during his first 13 seasons with the franchise.
