Klopp and Germany agree on 'key points' of deal

Jürgen Klopp, 59, has agreed on the 'key points' of a deal to become Germany's new head coach, according to the German Football Federation (DFB). Initial talks took place on July 10, 2026, in New York between Klopp and DFB President Bernd Neuendorf and Vice-President Hans-Joachim Watzke. Klopp would replace Julian Nagelsmann, who departed following Germany's World Cup exit to Paraguay, and any final contract remains subject to agreement with his current employer Red Bull.
