Klopp named Germany coach after poor World Cup
Jürgen Klopp has been named Germany's head coach following the national team's poor World Cup performance and Julian Nagelsmann's resignation. Klopp signed a contract running through the 2030 World Cup, with the German Football Association securing his release from Red Bull's head of global soccer role by making a €1 million donation to the Wings for Life foundation. Klopp, who had not managed since leaving Liverpool in 2024, will face his first tests in four Nations League games against the Netherlands, Greece, and Serbia in late September and early October.
