Knicks’ 47-point halftime lead vs. Hawks sets record for largest in NBA playoff history
The New York Knicks set an NBA playoff record with a 47-point halftime lead (83-36) over the Atlanta Hawks in Game 6 on Thursday at State Farm Arena, surpassing the previous record of 41 points held jointly by the Indiana Pacers (2025) and Cleveland Cavaliers (2017). The Knicks went on to win 140-89, at one point leading by as many as 61 points, closing out the first-round playoff series. Two players were ejected in the second quarter amid the lopsided contest.
