Korpatsch becomes first German champion in Hamburg since Graf

Tamara Korpatsch won the MSC Hamburg Ladies Open on Sunday, defeating Anna Bondar 6-3, 6-3 in the final to become the first German champion at Am Rothenbaum in 34 years. The last German winner at the event was Stefanie Graf, who claimed six consecutive titles from 1987 to 1992. Korpatsch's victory also ended a streak of four consecutive titles for another player or nation at the tournament.
