Sixteen-year-old Russian Kristina Liutova (World No. 229) won the WTA Memphis Classic on Sunday, defeating Czech player Darja Vidmanova 1-6, 6-1, 6-3 after coming from a set down in the final. Liutova becomes the first WTA Tour champion born in the 2010s and the youngest WTA Tour champion (aged 16 or under) in seven years, since Coco Gauff won the 2019 Linz Open. She came through qualifying at the 250-level event and also defeated top seed Ekaterina Alexandrova in the first round.
