Kulusevski: 'Different' after Spurs injury hell

Dejan Kulusevski made his return for Tottenham Hotspur after a 526-day injury absence, coming off the bench in the 86th minute as Spurs beat Coventry 3-1 in their first Premier League win of the season. The Sweden winger had been sidelined since sustaining a serious knee injury on May 11, 2025, and James Maddison, also returning from injury, scored the opening goal on his first start since May 1, 2025. Kulusevski described himself as 'different' and 'smarter' following the ordeal, expressing gratitude for the experience and the warm reception he received from Tottenham fans.
