Kuwaki wins British Open on second playoff hole

Shiho Kuwaki of Japan won the Women's British Open at Royal Lytham & St. Annes on Sunday, defeating Germany's Esther Henseleit on the second hole of a sudden-death playoff for her first major title. Both players finished at 5-under 279, with Henseleit dramatically holing a 40-foot birdie putt on the 18th to force the playoff. Kuwaki secured victory when Henseleit's par putt missed on the second extra hole, allowing Kuwaki to tap in for the winning par.
