LA Kings reportedly hiring former Rangers coach Peter Laviolette to 3-year deal

The Los Angeles Kings have hired veteran NHL coach Peter Laviolette on a three-year contract, as reported on June 8, 2026. Laviolette, who was fired by the New York Rangers last April after missing the playoffs in the 2024-25 season, brings 23 seasons of NHL head coaching experience across six previous franchises.
