Lacroix becomes Chelsea's latest summer recruit

Chelsea have signed French centre-back Maxence Lacroix from Premier League rivals Crystal Palace on a contract running until the end of the 2031-32 season. Lacroix becomes Chelsea's sixth signing of the summer, joining Morgan Rogers, Marco Palestra, Emmanuel Emegha, Dastan Satpaev, Denner, and Geovany Quenda. The defender previously won the FA Cup with Crystal Palace in 2025 and is described by Chelsea as 'one of the fastest and best aerial defenders in the Premier League.'
