Lando Norris avoiding getting ‘too excited’ about McLaren upgrades in Hungary
Lando Norris, the reigning Formula 1 World Champion, is tempering his expectations ahead of the Hungarian Grand Prix, where McLaren are introducing a new upgraded floor and aerodynamic components. Norris arrives at the Hungaroring having taken a 10-place grid penalty at the previous race in Spa-Francorchamps due to power unit component replacements, yet still managed to finish P7 despite believing a podium was achievable. McLaren secured 1-2 finishes at the Hungaroring in each of the previous two seasons and hope the high-downforce circuit will suit their updated package in 2026.
