Lando Norris delivers blunt assessment of F1 regs after Sepang chaos
A software glitch affecting the FIA-controlled systems managing the electric power output of Formula 1's new 50/50 power units caused a 40-minute delay during the formation lap of the Bahrain Grand Prix held at Sepang, Malaysia. The malfunction caused some cars to slow dramatically or stop entirely during wet conditions, as the torque-limiting software had not been fully tested in a real wet-weather race start scenario. Lando Norris, Max Verstappen, and Carlos Sainz were among the drivers to react critically, with Sainz stating that everyone involved 'needs to have a hard look at themselves.'
