Lando Norris excited by landmark McLaren signing, but it's bad news for Max Verstappen

F1 world champion Lando Norris has expressed excitement over McLaren's signing of Gianpiero Lambiase, Max Verstappen's long-time race engineer at Red Bull, who will join McLaren as Chief Racing Officer no later than 2028. The announcement came two weeks ago and is seen as a landmark acquisition for McLaren, with Norris telling Sky Sports F1 that the team wants 'the best of the best in every area.' The departure of Lambiase is regarded as yet another significant personnel loss at Red Bull that could push Verstappen toward an earlier exit from the team.
