Lando Norris intimates luck behind results in fresh criticism of F1 PUs
Lando Norris has renewed his criticism of Formula 1's current power units, arguing that one-lap pace is increasingly determined by factors outside a driver's control rather than skill. His comments were reinforced by events at Spa-Francorchamps, where he qualified third but received a 10-place grid penalty and finished seventh, while teammate Oscar Piastri suffered a power unit glitch during qualifying. Sky Sports pundit Martin Brundle has also called for the current power unit approach to be scrapped, with the 'yo-yo' racing and superclipping phenomena dominating discussion around the British and Belgian Grand Prix rounds.
