Lando Norris: “No excuse” for Singapore gap to Oscar Piastri

Lando Norris admitted there was 'no excuse' for his underperformance in sprint qualifying at the Formula 1 Singapore Grand Prix at Marina Bay. After finishing seventh in SQ1 (just 0.020s ahead of McLaren teammate Oscar Piastri) and third in SQ2, Norris ended up fifth in the final shootout, where Piastri outpaced him by 0.133s. McLaren had introduced a fix at Singapore following fuel injection issues that hurt the MCL40's top speed in Baku and Malaysia.
