Lando Norris predicts a wild Friday when Monaco hosts its first F1 Sprint

Formula 1 has announced that Monaco will host a Sprint race for the first time, as part of an expansion from six to ten Sprints next season, revealed on Wednesday September 18 2026. McLaren driver Lando Norris has warned that the event carries significant 'risk', as drivers will have only one hour of practice before Sprint qualifying on the Friday. Bahrain, Australia, Japan, and Abu Dhabi are also set to host Sprints for the first time alongside Monaco.
