LSU football head coach Lane Kiffin is hiring former LSU head coach Ed Orgeron as a special assistant focused on recruiting and defense, sources confirmed to The Daily Advertiser on Wednesday, May 21, 2026. Orgeron, known as 'Coach O,' previously led LSU to a national championship before his departure. Kiffin himself took over as LSU head coach in December 2025.
