Laredo's Lozano wins gold medal with USA Boxing at 2026 Copa America

Jennifer Lozano, Laredo's first Olympic athlete, won her second international gold medal with USA Boxing by going 7-0 at the 2026 Copa America in Girardot, Colombia. She competed undefeated in the 50-kilogram division across the nine-day round-robin tournament, clinching the title on the final day when Guatemala's Dulce Diaz conceded by walkover. This is Lozano's highest finish in international competition, following a third-place result at the World Boxing Cup in Brazil in April 2025.
