Larkin no longer Red Wings captain, will be at training camp

Dylan Larkin has been stripped of his captaincy with the Detroit Red Wings but confirmed he will attend training camp beginning next week. The 30-year-old center had requested a trade in the offseason after then-GM Steve Yzerman was replaced on July 15, leaving team leadership in flux. Larkin, who has been captain since January 13, 2021, has five years remaining on his eight-year, $69.9 million contract signed in March 2023.
