Larry Berg named next MLS Commissioner

Larry Berg has been named the next Commissioner of Major League Soccer following a vote held on Monday at the league's headquarters in midtown Manhattan, New York. Berg previously served as Co-Managing Owner of LAFC and Co-Chair of MLS's Sporting and Competition Committee, and was selected through a succession planning process led by the MLS Board of Governors with outgoing Commissioner Don Garber supporting the transition. Berg was set to be officially introduced on Tuesday, August 4.
