Larry Berg Tapped as Next MLS Commissioner to Replace Garber

MLS owners voted on Monday in New York to name Larry Berg, a co-owner of LAFC, as the league's next commissioner. Berg will succeed Don Garber, who has held the role since 1999 and whose contract expires next year. As part of the transition, Berg will be required to sell his ownership stake in LAFC before assuming the commissioner role.
