Larry Nassar among thousands of sex offenders removed from Michigan registry
More than 20,000 sex offenders, including Larry Nassar, the former USA Gymnastics and Michigan State University physician convicted of sexually abusing female athletes, have been removed from Michigan's public sex offender registry. The removals followed a ruling by the Michigan Supreme Court, which prompted the state to strike the names from the public database. Nassar was originally convicted in 2018 and became one of the most prominent figures in a major sports abuse scandal.
