Las Vegas GP, Liberty Media agree multimillion-dollar settlement over 2023 F1 race
Liberty Media and the Las Vegas Grand Prix have agreed to a $3,047,986 class-action settlement stemming from the inaugural 2023 Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix, during which Carlos Sainz's car was damaged by a loose water valve cover on the track, causing the event to be delayed by several hours. Fans who held Thursday-only or three-day tickets are eligible for compensation, with those who purchased directly from the defendants or Ticketmaster automatically included. Fans who obtained tickets through other means must submit a claim by August 27, 2026.
