Lasoi leads Kenyan surge to course record in Antrim Coast

Isaia Lasoi won the Antrim Coast Half Marathon on August 23 in a course record time of 58:26, with fellow Kenyan Daniel Mateiko also breaking the previous record in 58:30. Vincent Kipkorir completed a Kenyan podium sweep in third (1:00:39), while American Galen Rupp finished 10th and British runner Marc Scott was the top home finisher in 12th place. In the women's race, Ethiopia's Girmawit Gebrzihair took victory in 1:06:12, and Ethiopians also claimed both titles in the accompanying World Athletics Label 5km event.
