Lauer goes six hitless innings behind opener as Dodgers notch win No. 50
The Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Minnesota Twins 2-1 at Target Field on Monday night to become the first MLB team to reach 50 wins this season. Left-hander Eric Lauer entered in relief in the second inning and threw six hitless innings, striking out two, after right-hander Will Klein served as an opener. Shohei Ohtani hit his 17th home run of the year in the first inning, and Freddie Freeman provided the go-ahead solo shot in the sixth inning to secure the victory.
