Leicestershire deducted 27 points and on brink of relegation from County Championship Division One

Leicestershire have been deducted 27 points by the independent Cricket Discipline Panel (CDP) for breaching pitch regulations during their victory over Glamorgan in August. The penalty, applied midway through their penultimate match of the season, has dropped the Foxes to the bottom of County Championship Division One. Leicestershire, who were promoted as Division Two title winners last season, are now on the brink of relegation.
