Leicestershire: Foxes to appeal against 27-point ECB penalty

Leicestershire Cricket Club are appealing against a 27-point penalty imposed by the independent Cricket Discipline Panel for breaching pitch regulations during their County Championship Division One match against Glamorgan in August. The punishment, handed down midway through their penultimate match of the season, included a £5,000 fine and the loss of all 19 points earned in the win. Despite this penalty, Leicestershire won promotion in 2025, their first since the County Championship was split into two divisions in 2000.
