Lando Norris claimed pole position for the Hungarian Grand Prix, beating Lewis Hamilton by just 0.012 seconds. Hamilton was subsequently handed a three-place grid penalty for blocking Oscar Piastri during qualifying, dropping him to fifth on the grid; Ferrari were blamed for failing to warn Hamilton about the approaching Piastri.
