Lewis Hamilton Calls For FIA Action Over Junior Motorsport Costs

Lewis Hamilton has called on Formula 1 and the FIA to take action on the rising costs of junior motorsport, warning that karting is becoming inaccessible for ordinary families. The seven-time world champion cited an example of an eight-year-old whose karting programme costs over $1 million per year, contrasting it with his own early career which relied on his father Anthony's personal financial sacrifice. Hamilton argued that the sport risks narrowing its talent pipeline at a time when F1 is trying to present itself as more global and representative.
