Lewis Hamilton gesture sparks ‘double-standards’ accusation by Max Verstappen teammate
Lewis Hamilton raised his middle finger at Alpine driver Franco Colapinto during the Formula 1 Miami Grand Prix after a minor collision caused lasting damage to his Ferrari. Despite the gesture being captured on Hamilton's onboard camera, the FIA issued no retrospective penalty. Max Verstappen's GT3 teammate Dani Juncadella accused the FIA of double standards, noting he was fined €5,000 for the same gesture at a WEC race in Bahrain, and that Verstappen received a community service order for swearing at the 2024 Singapore GP press conference.
