Lewis Hamilton learns stewards verdict after messy sprint finish
Lewis Hamilton was investigated by FIA stewards at the Canadian Grand Prix sprint race for allegedly leaving the track and gaining an advantage in the closing stages. The incident occurred on the final lap at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, where Hamilton dropped from fourth to sixth after Oscar Piastri overtook him and he subsequently lost another position to Charles Leclerc. After reviewing telemetry, video, and team radio evidence, the stewards decided no penalty was necessary and took no further action against the seven-time world champion.
