Lewis Hamilton pays moving tribute after sudden death of former F1 driver: 'He did things the right way'
Former F1 driver and Paralympic champion Alex Zanardi died suddenly on Friday evening at the age of 59, surrounded by his family and friends, with the news confirmed by his family early on Saturday. Seven-time F1 world champion Lewis Hamilton paid tribute to Zanardi, praising the Italian icon who had lost both legs in a horrific CART crash at the Lausitzring in Germany in 2001 but went on to become one of Italy's most celebrated Paralympic athletes. A minute's silence was observed at the Miami Grand Prix sprint race in Zanardi's honour following the announcement of his passing.
