Lewis Hamilton reveals major Ferrari handicap that puts 2026 results in new light

Lewis Hamilton has revealed that Ferrari's power unit deficit is costing them an average of four tenths of a second per weekend compared to rivals, sometimes reaching six tenths. Despite this handicap, Ferrari sit second in the constructors' championship, over 150 points behind Mercedes, with Hamilton finishing third at the Bahrain Grand Prix after recovering from 18th place. Hamilton and Charles Leclerc have each taken one win in 2026, in Spain and Great Britain respectively, but the team has struggled to maintain title contention against championship leader Kimi Antonelli.
