Lewis Hamilton reveals radical Ferrari decision enabled 'best qualifying session' at F1 Canadian GP

Lewis Hamilton revealed that skipping Ferrari's simulator ahead of the 2025 F1 Canadian Grand Prix contributed to what he called 'the best qualifying session' he has had in a while. The 41-year-old seven-time world champion qualified fifth in SQ3, starting from fifth on the grid for the Sprint, ahead of teammate Charles Leclerc who will start sixth. Hamilton had been in contention for Sprint pole but was compromised by a snap of oversteer at Turn 2 on his first flying lap, forcing him to abort that run.
