Lewis Hamilton says Ferrari in the mix but not fastest in Monaco Grand Prix

Lewis Hamilton, speaking to media in Monaco on Thursday ahead of the 2026 Monaco Grand Prix, said Ferrari's SF-26 should be competitive on the tight street circuit but he does not expect it to be the fastest car. The 41-year-old seven-time world champion acknowledged Mercedes and their W17 as the benchmark package so far in 2026, while noting Ferrari's strength in slow corners suits Monaco's layout. Teammate Charles Leclerc also made news ahead of the race by announcing a multi-year contract extension with Ferrari.
