Lewis Hamilton urged for ‘difficult’ conversation amid Ferrari ‘trust issues’
Former Aston Martin strategist Bernie Collins has called for Lewis Hamilton and Ferrari to have a 'difficult' conversation following back-to-back strategic errors at the Malaysian Grand Prix (Bahrain GP held in Malaysia) and the Singapore Grand Prix. At the Malaysian race, Hamilton started on slick tyres in wet-dry conditions, costing him positions, while in Singapore he overruled a two-stop strategy call and completed a 40-plus lap stint on Soft tyres, finishing sixth. Collins believes Hamilton may have lost trust in Ferrari's pit wall decision-making, noting that a driver of his calibre would not accidentally miss a pit stop.
