Lingering calf injury keeps Judge off ALDS roster

New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge has been ruled out of the ALDS roster due to a lingering strained right calf that has not healed sufficiently. Judge sustained a moderate strain of the soleus muscle in his right calf on September 16 and was also inactive during the AL Wild Card Series against the Red Sox. He remains eligible to return for the AL Championship Series if the Yankees advance past the Rays.
