Lionel Messi: Inter Miami star fined for slapping opponent in MLS game

Lionel Messi, 39, has been fined by Major League Soccer after slapping Philadelphia Union's Quinn Sullivan around the back of the head during Inter Miami's 2-2 draw on Wednesday. Messi appeared to react to what he believed was an elbow from Sullivan after he played the ball. The MLS confirmed the fine but did not disclose the amount.
